Vacation

        This year over Easter break, me and my family are going to go on vacation. We were going to go in summer, but we can't because my dad has to work and can't tske days off. We are going to go to Lousisana and Gulf shore Alabama. In Lousiana, we are going to stay in New Orleans and tour the swamps in an air boat. I will get to try alligator there too. It sounds like it would be good. Also, we are oing to see some plantations there. In Alabama, we are just going to relax and see the beach. I will also get to try ziplining and parasailing there too. I think it will be fun even though were not going to be home for Easter.

The One Thing Left Behind

When I came home my house was a disastor. Everything was thrown and misplaced. Everything valuable had been stolen. It was strange though. There was one thing left behind that I kind of recognized. That one thing one thing was no use to the police but I knew what it was. It was my best friend's watch. The police might not know who did it but I did. He was one of the people I trusted the most in life and maybe he had some help.

Valentines Day

Today is Valentines day which is named after St. Valentine. It is a day where many people who love eachother do nice things. Many people have a story about it though. They say that there is a little flying baby called Cupid, who shoots love arrows with his bow and makes them fall in love with eachother. I don't know who came up with this or how they did, but I kind of like the story even though its not true.

Typing

At the beggining of this year, I was very slow at typing. I was around 20 wpm. Now I have almost doubled and get usually around 40 wpm. I think I have increased because of typing web and timed typing tests. These have helped me alot.

Antler hunting

About a year ago, My dad got a new dog. It is a labrador retriever we trained him to do tricks but we also trained him to do something else. We are training him to find deer antlers whenever they shed them. What we do is we found some deer antlers out in the woods ourselves and the we brought them back to our yard and buried them under leaves without him knowing where we buried them. Then we tell him to search the area we put them in and he will find them. So now when we are in the woods, we tell him to search the area and he will find any antlers if there are any and if there aren't, he will just come back and sit next to you. He can find them because he remembers the scent of deer antlers now.

Measuring Tape

A couple of weekends ago, my dad asked asked me to help him build a shed to keep our tools and supplies in. I didn't have anything else to do so I said I would. He did most of the physical labor and he just had me measure the things like how far apart the boards should be. He tought me different ways to measure it and how to keep them straight and lined up with eachother. He taught me other things too. Before this, I really didn't think that I would like buildig a shed but I learned that it wasn't that bad.
