The Man Who Got Beat Up!

Once upon a time, there was an ugly person. This man had a very sensitive heart. No one liked him, No one fed or bathed him. He was all alone. He threw a rock at a cow. The cow pulled out his hoove and started to beat him up. Now Jerome had two broken legs, bruises every where, and a bloody nose. He woke up the next morning surprised by what he saw. All his wounds and bruises were treated and healthy. He looked outside and there was the band-aid man. So once again, Jerome threw a rock at him! So you know what happened? He got beat up again! The band-aid man gave him no bandages this time! The end!

Bear & Friends

My favorite time at the park was when the man got mauled by a bear. So, it was very sunny out and this man is having a picnic all alone. I came over to join him but, then he threw a rock at me. I went over to the bench and started crying. Mr. Man kept throwing rocks at me until I started bleeding. At of no where a bear comes up and mauls him. That bear and I were best friends. He had me dying in laughter. We grew up together pulling hilarious pranks on everybody, some fatal, some not. It all works out in the end because, you know he's a bear! We lived happily ever after.

Modern Day Pangea!

If Pangaea was suddenly smashed together again, the earth would be a very strange place, I imagine war and earthquakes going down all the time. If our world was in peace, we'd come together and rebuild as a team. We will probably have some fatal accidents and loss of oceans in the process. I think if we came together to build ourselves up, the modern Pangaea would be a great continent! Although that probably wont happened, we still have to defend our flag because a lot of our enemies are now are neighbors. Honestly, it could be a disaster. Who knows, we may find world peace.

The Firetruck Cake

Today, I have made for you a Firetruck cake, not just an ordinary firetruck cake, a huge one! There are three amazing flavors, vanilla in the front, chocolate in the back, and in the middle its a marvel with chocolate pudding in the middle, mmmm. It sounds great. There is red, white, black,  and yellow icing on it. I had some help from my co worker. Thanks to him, we have what lies in front of your eyes. This cake can serve up to 500 people. It took awhile but, it was worth the wait!

What I Know About 9/11

September, 11th, 2001, a day that will never be forgotten. The Twin Towers and The Pentagon were hit by oncoming jets. Most people believed that Osama Bin Laden was behind all this. People were devistated by our loss. Family, Friends, and even people we didn't know were seriously injured or killed. We didn't know what to do, we were lost but, we knew one thing was for sure. We were looking for the men who did this. Some kids lost theirs moms and dads. Others might of lost a grandma, aunt, uncle or even a child. Never forget, 9/11!

The Rapture!

Once there was a boy named Lucas. Lucas wasn't very popular, wasn't out going, very shy you might add. Well one day Lucas and the neighbor boy, Alex were exploring in the woods and they stumbled upon a cave, Lucas didn't want to go in, but Alex did. As Alex ran into the cave, Lucas followed, of course. They ran and ran, it seemed like the cave would never end. Then they stopped! There was a two ways to go, left or right. Alex went left and Lucas went right. Lucas, scared and alone started dashing down the cave and right when he thought about turning around he saw the light right before it raptured him, He said to him self, "Am I dead?"

Whats something that bugs me?

Something that bugs me is when I loose in anything I do. I hate when I loose because I go back threw my head and think what I did wrong. I can never loose a game without being mad. Another thing that bugs me is Ryan Stockham and his girlfriend because they are always touching each other and he thinks that he has a girlfriend that he can't have friends that are boys. Also he is annoying because he will say stuff that is not even nice to me and I get mad because he thinks it's a joke and the other person does not know it is.

This summer I am going to Florida. I am going with my family and family friends also. We are going to Destin I have been there before. We are going to travel a little bit one night to head to the baseball game down there. Also when we get back from the game we are going to eat at this popular restaurant. We have heard they are very good but I do not know what the name is. I am going to eat everything.

Kid Nation 7

Deviance behavior that doesn't follow society's expectations. Jarred flipped over Divad stuff she had. Greg was being mean to the younger boy.Behavior that does follow society's norms. The expectations the town has is to work hard not just work for the gold star. If the people just work hard for the gold star they don't give it to them they have to work hard without trying to get it.

Stigma an undesirable trait or characteristic that used to negatively label a person.They call people names that are not nice at all. They call people names that they should not say in front of younger kids. The words the people say in the town can hard some of the other people which cause arguments. They will call Taylor a brat a lot of times.

 Social sanctions are rewards or punishments to encourage conformity to norms. The punishment they will give will be somthing the people who are getting punished do not like. The rewards are the gold star or being the upper class is a reward for the team the finishes first. Greg and his friend decided to not work in the show down so that the girls will work more instead of not doing anything. They have a hard time getting to pick who the winner of the gold star is.

Authority position of power. I saw authority by the town council waking up all of the kids. The town council has authority over everyone. They are picking a little bit of people to pick up the trash. They also make them carry it over. They also made a hole 5 feet deep. Then they make Taylor pick up the water.

I saw coercion in this episode by them picking up trash. They were carrying 200 meters from the town. They dug a huge deep hole. They forced Taylor to carry water. She would not do anything at all. The blue in the challenge had to get dirty to get more cans.


Ratinalizim is the way of thinking emphasizing knowledge, reason, and planning. Taylor used this in the beginning by planning on putting pressure on Zach. They also used this by planning and working on moving the trash and barring it. The leader from the green team and the rest of the council planed on punishing Taylor. Lastly they planed on filling the water tank as a town.

A way for an in-group to separate itself  from the out group like slang for clothes. I see it in the episode  by the colors each team wears. The blue doesn't let other players wear blue. No one wears the same color of the same team. The different colors can't go in each others cabin's. Everybody has the same colors no one can wear.

primary group- a close group that emotionally support each other and seek one another out. I picked this word because the yellow group seeks out Zach because he  wanted to run for counsel, but Taylor is friends with most of the girls in yellow district. So its hard for him to run if the girls vote for Taylor. The blue team is a good choice to because they all get along. Yellow all support each other accept a little bit because alot like Zach.

Conflict is an interaction aimed at defeating an opponent and increase dysfunction and working against each other. Taylor never gets up and yells at other people. Also Taylor gets yelled at by Zach because she is a bad leader. Also everybody  was throwing food and drinks at each other. One girl keeps being mean to all  the leaders.Also pushing each other for the position to win the composition.

       All of the kids in the yellow group except for one uses group. Group is to or more people that are in regular contact. The two  Older kids for the blue work together and they are good friends. Also everyone uses group because there all in different color groups, like red, yellow, green, and blue. Coucil is one because they all rule over most of the people.

Kid Nation 4

           The other thing I saw was that the kids in this episode used achieved status by separating there selves into different religious groups. Some of the kids also used is by saying that they will be there own person and no one will change that. Also they used this by being in different groups. The kids used this in the show down by working hard and choosing which class they are in. The young kid in the yellow is trying to help out the best.

          One of the girls from the green team used status set as acting as a friend towards the girl she was walking with. The kids in the dining room used this by saying what religion group they are in. All the people who believe in different religions also used status set because there all friends. Two of the ladies in the town are sisters. the older kids tried helping the younger kids in this episode. The older kids really want to over throw the town council.

       I saw obligation in this episode by the green doing there work. The yellow is doing nothing at all. All the blue is cleaning because they are cooks. Every one is doing there jobs so they can run the town. The yellow is going to have to be cooks again so they will have to clean up again.

One time when I was younger I was running around our house and my dog was chasing me because we were messing around. Then I thought it would be a little better if I made my dog have to dodge stuff. So I would run down the hall and drop a pillow and she would have to jump it to catch up to me. Then I was in my parents room and I threw the pillow down right before there bed but I stepped on it and tripped into the bed frame and busted my chin really bad. Then I started crying really bad and I had to get 9 stitches!

Kid Nation #3

Desocialization is the process of giving up old norms, values, attitudes, and behavior. The counselors changed the curfew. The young kids are not used to getting up early.The older kids want to sleep in but they have to wake up the young kids.

Resocialization is the process of adopting new norms, values, attitudes, and behavior. They all have to get up earlier.Everyone wants to sleep. They all have to sleep on the ground.Everyone now wants the gold star really bad.

 Looking-Glass Self is how you see your self based on others. The older kids feel like jerks after cussing at all the kids.One of the town council people know that he is annoying.Everybody tells the kid on the green that he is very brave and strong.And he starts to get a better attitude and not as homesick.

Kid Nation #2

I saw society in this episode because all of the groups work together.In the challenge they have to work together.They all sleep on the floor.They wear a certain a certain color for each team.The teams have to work together while putting the pvc pipes together.


Another word I picked is norms. Norms is when following the laws or rules. In kid nation they set rules to keep the town up and going. If  they didn't set rules or laws the town would be terrible. 


The final word I picked is taboo. Taboo is used when the little girl protects the chicken from being killed. When the fifteen year wants to kill it she stands up from it.

Soccer is one of my most favorite sports in the whole world. I like it so much because it is fun and i'm really good at it. I have played since I was three years old. When I was six years old it was my first year ever playing on a select soccer team. Now I play on the Missouri Rush soccer team.

                         I play soccer on a select soccer team. The team I play for is the Missouri Rush Soccer Club youth 14. I have  the most goals on the whole team entire team since I have played for them. I am 13 years old and in 7th grade and alot of the times we have to play against 8th graders. I used to play soccer for a really bad team and me and my friend joined and they got better.

           

         

                          I also play baseball for a 13 year old team. I have been playing baseball ever since I was 4 years old. Last year I hit 17 home runs and for my batting average I was batting over 500. I play for the Jefferson County Chaos the team has been together for 3 years and counting this year it will be 4 years. I always play second base I really like it and I am pretty good at it.

                         This quarter I have computers for Ms.Debolt it is my first time having her. I want to know more about computers because I don't know much about them. Also I like computers to watch fun videos and play games.But she said if we finish every thing we can play games. I really like having her as my teacher so far it is really fun. She is really nice letting us play games if we finish because my old teacher did not let us.

                      

                                      

Kid Nation............

Class Conflict means trouble between people from different  classes. And there is that in this show because there are people that are rich and some that are poor.Also the girl in the green bandanna argued with the yellows decision not to do dishes.  Jimmy wants to go home but nobody wants him to.

Power means the ability to control others.One older kid was shoving the leader who is younger.The kid was fifteen and he was trying to control the councilors .Alot of them argued about what to eat.They had a challenge to see who would make the most money.


Verstehen is understanding the behavior of others by trying to put yourself  in their place. Jimmy started crying because he was home sick. A older girl put her in his position and realized  how hard it would be not to see your parents when you are 8 years old. then she realized why he missed his parents so much.

Video games do help kids sometimes because some of the video games they play are sports related.  Also some games are about school and that can help kids faster sometimes to learn more stuff. But sometimes they play video games because they have violence and they think that is better.

This weekend

On Saturday, I am going to the mall to get a third pierce on my ear lobe. I am getting it because I got an A on my math test. After we finish, we're going to back home, and I get to invite a friend over. On Sunday, I have to go to a music practice were there is a group of girls who sing and play instruments. I've been going for the past 2 weeks, and it's really fun. After that, I'm going to do homework.

Things that annoy me

The one thing that annoys me the most is my sister. She is always screaming and acting crazy. Sometimes she'll jump all around on the furniture or make weird noises. Sometimes its funny, but usually its really weird! Also, when I have a lot of homework, and it takes me a long time to finish, its kind of stressful. I also am really annoyed of some of the people at school. Another thing is when people don't have clean rooms, or houses. I just wish I could clean it haha!

My weekend

Last weekend I went to the mall with my mom, my dad, and my sister. We went to all of our favorite stores, and after that, we went to Subway for lunch. When we got done, we went to my grandma's house and spent the day there. For dinner, we all got to make our own homemade pizzas. After we finished eating, we played a board game. When we left my grandma's house, we went home and watched a movie. The next day, we had to clean up the house, and clean our rooms. Then, we went outside and played with the dogs. I wish I could do this all again!

Being different

I think that it is right, that people who are different should be different and that they shouldn't have to be like everyone else is; I think that if you choose to stand out and to do things differently, that you should, because some people just do the same things everyday, so maybe if you were to change it up, it could be more interesting. I feel like if we were all the same I think that would be very boring; no one would be able to dress differently, act differently, etc. I like that all people have a unique thing about themselves that makes them who they are.

My talents

My topic is about my talents. When I was 7 years old, I was really into the music that my dad liked. He liked old bands from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I really found an interest in The Beatles, and I thought the drummer was pretty cool. I asked my dad if I could get a set of drums, and we found a set and went to get them. Ever since I have practiced everyday for over 2 hours. I also found an interest in piano when I was 10, so I learned how to play piano too.  When I tell people about this, they are shocked and proud that I can play drums and piano. Ever since I started choir 3 years ago, I've also enjoyed singing. I learn most of the music I play by ear, whether its off the radio, or a cd. I think its cool that people enjoy my talent.

Hidden Door

I would go through Narnia because I've always wanted to visit Narnia even though its not real because it sounds really pretty and fun to visit and have a good time. I would love to visit all the mystical creatures and things that are there. It sounds like a lot of fun.  I've watched all the movies and read the books so I think I would have a great time there. The door that I would most likely choose would be the last door because I always choose the last of everything that is available.

Teenage Years

I will never forget being 13 because this was the year that I turned a teenager, and some adults don't think it is a big deal, but I feel like it is because I think you get more freedom and you're allowed to things that you couldn't do before. Adults have forgotten this I think because they don't really look back on the years that they were teenagers, since now they are older. I feel like they should look back to the times that they were young, because its fun to remember all those times that you hung out with friends, and went to parties, and had fun.

Norway millionares

1. All Norwegians became famous because they are all worth at least $164,000 USD on paper.
2. They invested in having a secure future of all the residents.
3. They are not really million nares because the only possible way they could be is if they were famous, or had a very good job that paid them well.
4. I think our country doesn't have such a fund because we don't have a government group that surpluses wealth.

Kansas City water slide!

1. The verruckt is a 14-story high roller coaster in Kansas City, Missouri.
2. Its different from Brazil's Insano because the verruckt is taller than Niagara falls, and The Statue of Liberty.
3. Jeff is called the Wizard of Water" because he's made more things with water like the in land water surfing, uphill water coasters, and endless tube rides.
4. No, because I am afraid of rollercoasters and heights.

Little windmill makes big changes!

Jung-chih chiao is a professor at the University of Texas. He created a windmill that is only 1.8 millimeters! About 10 of them could be put into a grain of rice. Each individual windmill is a three bladed, 1.8 millimeter diameter rotor. It is put on a 2 millimeter tower. It can even withstand very strong winds! The researchers have came up with a process that is almost the same as the one used to manufacture micro semiconductors; they are used in everyday electronics. The good part is that the makers of  these windmills are brainstorming with Talwanese about selling these to the market! So hopefully, we will all eventually own a windmill charger!
